34 Units - Studios; One Bedroom & Two Bedroom Units
Powell River Sunset Homes Society is grateful for the generous in-kind funding support from the City of Powell River, and some capital grant funding from the Powell River Community Forest.
New 34 Units Rental Housing for Seniors 55+
Our new SUNSET VIEW rental apartment building for seniors 55+ is now at full capacity.
The building is completely accessible for anyone with mobility issues with a central elevator and full Universal Design;
~ it is built to higher performance energy efficiency standards achieving 39% better energy efficiency and 39% reduction in GHG emissions;
~ all units have ductless air-source heat pumps for heating & cooling; healthy indoor air quality with heat recovery ventilation; and the roof has photovoltaic solar panels for some energy generation, just to list a few of the highlights.
Apartment types range from Studio Units, to One Bedroom Units & Two Bedroom Units.
There is on-site recycling and waste collection, bicycle, e-bike & mobility scooter storage lock-up & charging room, and a communal gathering space.
